Host Responsibilities

MOOVA - Wheelz Connect Booking Services

Your Guide to Exceptional Hosting

Quick Navigation

As a host on MOOVA (operated by Wheelz Connect Booking Service), you have specific responsibilities to ensure a smooth, professional, and successful rental experience for your guests. By fulfilling these responsibilities, you contribute to building trust, safety, and satisfaction within the MOOVA community.

1. Accurate Listing Information

Provide clear and accurate details about your vehicle, including:

  • Make, model, year, mileage, condition, features, and restrictions
  • Disclose any device or feature that may affect the renter's experience (e.g., GPS/telematics tracker, dashcam, EV charging type, child-seat availability)

Accurate listings set expectations and prevent misunderstandings.

2. Clear Rental Terms and Guidelines

Clearly outline your rental terms, including:

  • Pricing, deposits (if any), and minimum rental duration
  • Mileage limits and fuel/charging policy
  • Driver's licence/eligibility requirements and any age/excess requirements from your insurer
  • Additional fees, surcharges, or restrictions (e.g., smoking, pets, cleaning, late return, tolls)
  • Location/GPS tracking notice: If your vehicle has GPS/telematics, state that tracking is used only during active rentals for safety/security and per MOOVA's Privacy Policy. Do not track outside active bookings.

3. Prompt Communication

Respond promptly to inquiries and booking requests. Timely communication builds trust and helps renters make informed decisions.

4. Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness

  • Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in safe working order before each rental
  • Complete regular maintenance and safety/recall checks; ensure tyres, brakes, lights, fluids, and wipers are roadworthy
  • Address mechanical issues immediately and remove the listing if the vehicle becomes unsafe

5. Meet and Greet

  • Arrange a convenient pick-up time and location
  • Provide clear instructions to locate the vehicle (or key handover steps for lockbox/remote access)
  • Walk the renter through vehicle features and operations; highlight restrictions (e.g., fuel type, EV charging)
  • Record check-in photos (exterior, interior, fuel/charge level, odometer)

6. Provide Necessary Documentation

Keep all required documents valid and available: registration, insurance appropriate for rental/peer-to-peer hire, permits, and any local authorisations. Where applicable, provide breakdown cover details and emergency contacts.

7. Support and Assistance

Be available to assist renters during the rental period. Respond quickly to issues or questions to provide a reliable and positive experience, including roadside support coordination where needed.

8. Handle Complaints and Issues

  • Address complaints or problems promptly and professionally
  • Follow MOOVA procedures for accidents, damages, theft, or breakdowns and cooperate in evidence collection (photos, reports, telematics logs)
  • Communicate with both the renter and MOOVA Support as needed

9. Flexibility and Availability

Whenever possible, accommodate renters' schedules with flexible pick-up/drop-off options or alternative key handover methods (e.g., lockbox, remote access), while maintaining verification and safety.

10. Vehicle Inspection

  • Conduct inspections before and after each rental
  • Note and document any existing damages with photos or a checklist; capture odometer and fuel/charge levels
  • Ensure both parties agree on the vehicle's condition at handover and return

11. Review and Feedback

After each rental:

  • Leave a review of the renter to help future hosts
  • Encourage renters to leave feedback for you
  • Positive reviews improve your reputation and attract more bookings

12. Compliance with Local Regulations

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • Required permits or licences for car-sharing/peer-to-peer rental
  • Insurance and tax obligations (including any hire-and-reward/self-drive hire requirements)
  • Data protection and privacy (e.g., notice/limits on GPS/telematics and any in-car cameras; no in-cabin audio/video where prohibited; use data only per MOOVA's Privacy Policy)
  • Observe road rules, environmental zones, and any cross-border restrictions disclosed to the renter

13. Continuous Improvement

Regularly evaluate your hosting practices. Use renter feedback and personal experience to improve your service and maintain a high standard of hosting. Keep your listing and terms up to date (pricing, fees, availability, and tracking disclosures).

Final Note

By fulfilling these responsibilities, you help create a trusted and professional community on MOOVA. Being a responsible host benefits both you and your renters, leading to:

Higher renter satisfaction
More positive reviews
Repeat bookings
Increased earnings and credibility
